TAKEMUSU AIKIDO

"Progress comes
To those who train
Again and again.
Rely on secret techniques

Won't take you anywhere"

Morihei Ueshiba

Our Lineage

Morihei Ueshiba

A student of Takeda Sokaku and the Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu school, the historical context, his martial and military experience and then his esoteric experiences led him to develop Aikido and the concept of TAKEMUSU.

Morihiro Saito

Student of the founder for 23 years in Iwama. He set up a technical catalog and a learning method in order to preserve the principles and teaching of O'Sensei.

Philippe Voarino

Uchi Deshi in Iwama to learn and witness the educational works of Saito Sensei. He received the 5 Mokuroku and the 6th Dan at Iwama. Today he is 8th Dan TAI and technical director at ITAF.

“He who does not know where he comes from, does not know where he is going…”
Otto von Bismarck

OUR VISION

With our experience in the teaching and transmission of Aikido, our vision is to allow everyone to progress on the Path of Takemusu Aiki.

However, we are aware that undertaking such a path requires several important things:

1/- Know where it is possible to lead the students and what the proposed study will lead to.

2/- The steps you must go through to ensure progress.

3/- The tools necessary to move from one stage to another.

And it wouldn't be possible without it, teachers trained in understanding and implementing progression.

This is what we offer at TAU : technical progression which will be accompanied by a psychological transformation and allow everyone to reach the highest level and open up to new perspectives.

Taijutsu

The Body of the Practitioner

Bare-handed practice will allow practitioners to build their body and mind.

In this sense, the entries will function as constraints allowing the discovery and then implementation of the driving axis of the IRIMI-TENKAN principle.

Aiki Ken

The Aiki Saber

Through the sword and the evolution in the catalog the practitioner will discover the notion of CONTINUITY.

Moving from Suburi to Awase, from Kumi Tachi to Henka Waza to finish with Ki Musubi no Tachi, the practitioner will advance step by step in the study and understanding of the Aiki sword.

Aiki Jo

The Spear of Aiki

Through the spear and the evolution in the catalog the practitioner will discover the notion of SIMULTANEITY.

By moving from Suburi to the execution of Suburi in Kata then by studying the first 5 Kumi Jo then Kumi Jo 6 to 10 that the practitioner will advance step by step in the study and understanding of the Aiki spear.

Each technical tool has its reason for being...

Our practice is based on learning a technical catalog which will become the development support for the practitioner. Each tool has a role and arrives at a specific moment in the practitioner's progress. Our catalog is divided into 3 fundamental axes.
